Eventbrite Alternatives for Event Organisers

Published ·Last verified

The best Eventbrite alternative depends on your event. For conferences where attendees travel and need hotels, Hoperfy combines ticketing with hotel booking that pays the organiser. For events with expensive tickets, Tito caps its fee at €25 per ticket. For small events where every cent per ticket counts, Ticket Tailor's fixed fee and EventCreate's free plan are the lowest-cost starting points.

Key takeaways

  • The best Eventbrite alternative depends on the event: ticket price, attendee numbers and whether attendees travel all change which platform costs least.
  • Hoperfy charges 2% per ticket plus payment processing when used with hotel booking, and pays organisers 50% of hotel booking profit.
  • Tito charges 3% per ticket capped at €25, with no monthly fee, which suits events with expensive tickets.
  • Ticket Tailor charges a fixed fee per ticket, from $0.30 with prepaid credits in the US, so its cost does not rise with ticket price.
  • EventCreate's free plan covers one event with up to 50 attendees, and its paid plans run from $6 to $149 a month.

Hoperfy is our product. We have tried to keep this comparison fair, and we say where an alternative is the better fit.

The platforms below are grouped by the kind of event each suits best. They are not ranked. All prices are as published by each platform in November 2026, and fees exclude payment processing unless stated.

Hoperfy

Hoperfy is an event commerce platform that combines ticketing with hotel booking for attendees. It suits conferences, trade shows and festivals where a large share of attendees travel and need somewhere to stay.

Hoperfy charges 2.5% per paid ticket, or 2% when you use ticketing and hotel booking together. Payment processing is charged separately by Stripe or your payment provider. Free events carry no platform fee, and there is no monthly subscription for the core platform.

Hotel booking is free for organisers. Hoperfy contracts the hotels and answers attendee booking questions, and the organiser earns a share of the profit on every booking: 30% with hotel booking alone, or 50% with ticketing and hotel booking together. For a detailed fee breakdown against Eventbrite, see our head to head comparison.

Limitation: if your attendees are local and do not need hotels, Hoperfy's main advantage does not apply, and a fixed-fee platform such as Ticket Tailor may cost less per ticket.

Tito

Tito is a ticketing platform with a simple percentage fee and no subscription. It charges 3% per ticket sold, capped at €25 per ticket, with a reduced 2.5% rate for eligible charity, community and non-profit events. Stripe or PayPal charge payment processing separately, and events where every ticket is free cost nothing.

The cap is what makes Tito stand out for events with expensive tickets. Above roughly €833 per ticket, the fee stops growing.

Limitation: below the cap, 3% is a higher percentage than some alternatives, including Hoperfy's 2% to 2.5%.

Ticket Tailor

Ticket Tailor charges a fixed fee per ticket rather than a percentage. In the US it starts at $0.30 per ticket when you buy credits in advance. In the UK, pay as you go is £0.60 per ticket, falling to as little as £0.22 with prepaid credits.

Because the fee does not grow with the ticket price, Ticket Tailor is very cheap per ticket for mid-price and expensive tickets.

Limitation: a fixed fee weighs more on cheap tickets. On a $5 ticket, a $0.30 fee is 6% of the price. The lowest prices also require buying credits in advance.

EventCreate

EventCreate describes itself as an event website builder and all-in-one event management platform. Its free Starter plan covers one event with up to 50 attendees, and it advertises zero-fee ticketing.

Paid plans are listed at $6 a month (Personal), $29 (Pro), $49 (Business) and $149 (Enterprise).

Limitation: the free plan stops at one event and 50 attendees, so most conferences and festivals will need a paid plan.

Luma

Luma is an event page and registration tool. Its features include event pages, ticket tiers, waitlists, QR check-in, mobile apps and integrations.

On Luma's free plan, paid tickets carry a 5% platform fee plus Stripe processing of 2.9% plus 30¢.

Limitation: 5% is the highest percentage fee among the platforms here, which adds up quickly on higher ticket prices.

RSVPify

RSVPify focuses on registration and RSVP management, with ticketing built in. Setting up an event is free, including RSVPify's premium features. Paid tickets carry a fee of 1.95% plus $0.90 per ticket, and organisers can choose to pass fees on to their guests.

Limitation: the fixed $0.90 per ticket weighs heavily on cheap tickets. On a $10 ticket, the total fee is about 11% of the price.

When to stay with Eventbrite

Eventbrite's biggest strength is discovery. It runs a public marketplace that connects ticket buyers to events, and it reports 89 million monthly users. If you rely on people finding your event by browsing, rather than through your own marketing, that reach is hard to replace.

Eventbrite also offers Instant Payouts. In the US, its fee is 3.7% plus $1.79 per paid ticket, with payment processing of 2.9% charged separately. In the UK, the fee is 6.95% plus £0.59 per ticket, with payment processing included.

How to choose an Eventbrite alternative

Four questions narrow the choice quickly.

  • What is your average ticket price? Percentage fees grow with the price, fixed fees do not. Fixed fees such as Ticket Tailor's suit higher prices; on cheap tickets, a low percentage usually costs less.
  • How many attendees will you have? Free plans often stop at a limit, such as EventCreate's 50 attendees, so check what you would pay at your real size.
  • Is payment processing included? Most platforms here charge it separately, but Eventbrite's UK fee includes it. Compare the total, not the headline rate.
  • Will your attendees travel? If they need hotels, a platform that books them and shares the revenue can offset your ticketing fees. In the example above, a 500-person conference earns more from hotel bookings than it pays in ticketing fees.
