UX Rotterdam is a user experience conference held in Rotterdam, aimed at designers, researchers and product people working on digital products. The programme covers research methods, service design, accessibility, design systems and the organisational side of getting design work shipped. The conference deliberately keeps a practitioner focus, with speakers presenting work from real projects rather than abstract design philosophy, and the scale stays small enough that attendees can actually talk to the people who spoke. Rotterdam's design and architecture culture gives the event a particular character, and the venue choices have historically reflected that. The audience skews Dutch and Belgian with a growing international contingent. Rotterdam is thirty minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol by train and has good hotel availability in the city centre, which makes it straightforward for attendees travelling from across Europe.
