The UKSG Annual Conference brings together the scholarly communications community in Glasgow from 5 to 7 April 2027. Attendees span academic librarians, publishers, intermediaries, repository managers and technology providers working across the research information supply chain. The programme addresses open access policy and transitional agreements, research data management, discovery and metadata standards, publishing ethics, and the impact of artificial intelligence on both research output and library services. UKSG occupies an unusual position as one of the few events where librarians and publishers meet as equals rather than across a sales table, and the conference has a reputation for frank discussion of tensions in the sector. The accompanying exhibition is a significant part of the event, with most major publishers and library systems vendors represented. Glasgow has strong conference infrastructure and accommodation within walking distance of the main venues.
