SIDISA is the international symposium on sanitary and environmental engineering, taking place in Genoa from 14 to 17 June 2027. Organised by the Italian environmental engineering community but international in scope, the symposium covers water and wastewater treatment, solid waste management, circular economy in industrial processes, contaminated site remediation and air quality. The programme combines academic research with applied engineering case studies, and draws university researchers, utility engineers, environmental consultants and public sector technical staff. Sessions increasingly address climate adaptation in urban water infrastructure and the implementation of European environmental directives at municipal level. Genoa offers a compact conference setting with good rail connections along the Italian coast and an international airport, and hotel capacity in the city centre is sufficient for a symposium of this size without the pressure seen in Rome or Milan.
