The Europlanet Science Congress is the largest planetary science meeting in Europe, held in Toulouse from 19 to 24 September 2027. It draws researchers working across planetary geology, atmospheres, magnetospheres, exoplanets, astrobiology and mission instrumentation, alongside engineers from the space agencies and industry partners building the next generation of planetary missions. The six-day programme mixes scientific sessions with mission updates, early-career workshops and public outreach activity. Toulouse is a deliberate choice of host city given its role as the centre of the French and wider European space industry, and the congress typically includes visits and sessions connected to local institutions. The meeting has a strong early-career presence, with dedicated funding and mentoring programmes for PhD students and postdocs. Sessions are organised bottom-up by the research community rather than by a central committee, which keeps the programme close to where the field is actually moving.
